For me, the song sounds pretty good up until the solo part at 2:05 until 3:14. Sorry to say, but the solo is not enjoyable too hear, don't you think? The notes sound really off, it does not sound in tune with the song, and the way you play the notes are kind of unenjoyable to hear.

I suggest you adjust the solo notes to be in tune with your song according to your song's basic tone. Using a note scale for your basic tone will help you if you are struggling. Also, maybe change the way you play the solo so that it will be more enjoyable to hear? You can find a lot of inspiration on other songs. You can check out my piece, "Set Me Free", if you want some inspiration, it's right here on Newgrounds.

This song is meant to sound unpleasant, so, I think I did a good job :P

I think that this song is supposed to be longer, or it feels that t's supposed to be longer, but it got cutoff. It has a pretty nice build, but it just cuts off, like someone just pulled a plug to the music player.

Also, what kind of weird guitar sound that is playing in the background at the end? It sounds out of tune and I think it is unnecessary to put it in the song. This song still has potential though, just make a reasonable ending and remove that unnecessary guitar sound in the background at the end of the song.

guyfromKillerRAT responds:

No, it was an intro track to Rot and on the full album it transitions right into it.

This is the best one out of the three that I've heard, excellent job on this one.
Love those guitar riffs, the solo is good, not very clean at some parts, but still alright.

Keep practicing mate, you have a lot of potentials.

guyfromKillerRAT responds:

Thankyaw so much!!

This track gives the atmosphere of adventuring and having fun while doing it! And yeah, I agree with @ian-booms with the percussion, vary the velocity yeah?

Quick question, did you use Garageband to make this song? Cause the instrument sounds are similar.

Mabelma responds:

Yes I did, you have a good ear. Still learning how to make them more unique sounding. Definitely experimenting with varying velocities.

This one is a bit more diverse than the first one, and has a lot more atmosphere. For a gory video game, I think this will fit nicely.

guyfromKillerRAT responds:

Yeah, I don't think the game is meant to be gory, rather just shocking and such, I will suggest a more violent game to the devs so my music fits even better than before haha!

I like the guitar riff at the intro, it builds up the song nicely, though I think the song is too repetitive for my liking. But I think it would do the job a main menu song, add some guitar solos to make it more alive if you can.

P.S. thank you for having the option for to stop sending mails, it was getting quite intrusive for me, sorry.

guyfromKillerRAT responds:

No prob! Last thing I wanna do is be annoying lol.

My grandparents listen to traditional javanese music lol, because they live in Indonesia, and there was barely any access to the internet. My dad is the one that introduces me to these kinds of songs, those were the times where cassette tapes were introduced and are spread around the world.

I love the guitar sounds, but of course, back then, the sound quality of songs were not as good as today. The songs have a lot more reverb and sound more muffled (if you listened to actual 1950's to 1960's music, you'll know what I'm talking about). If you want to bring a more 50's atmosphere, maybe you can add more reverb to the instruments to bring a more 1950's ambience. Then again, the song still sounds good if you don't wanna tweak it, great job with this one.

I keep forgetting there's plenty of international people all around Newdgrounds :D
You are right, rock n' roll wasn't a big thing on far regions of Asia and Africa.

I get what you mean about the 50's rock sound. I used an emulator of vintage analog mastering , but didn't emulated the room reverb nor the massive high self cuts they used back then. Feels kind of old, kind of modern. Thanks for listening.

Dude, this is so underrated, this deserves more attention.

I love the atmosphere that this song brings, peaceful, relaxing, and uplifting.

It’s like, telling a story of a child who is still innocent, and is just trying to enjoy nature. I could think of a movie scene that fits with this song, excellent job with this one.

VortexSupernova responds:

Thank you! This was actually named "Childhood's Serenade"/"Serenade to the Fireflies" and is the theme song of my original character https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/vortexsupernova/shatterflame-childhood) which represented childhood memories :O Nice interpretation!

It’s like song that you would hear in romantic movie that takes place in Paris, excellent job with this one.

LexRodent responds:

Thanks for listening. Some people don't realize it, but albeit popular in South America , tango has a big influence from French dance and music style.

I make songs, not just any songs, but extrapeculiar songs
